Lash Lift
A lash lift is a professional treatment that lifts, curls and shapes your natural lashes by extending them upward. A lash lift is like a perm for your eyelashes and is an alternative to eyelash extensions offering immediate results. There are no artificial lashes or fills needed making an eyelash lift a more affordable option than lash extensions. A lash lift works well on most natural eyelashes. For more dramatic results some patients will have a lash lift treatment after using an eyelash growth serum such as Latisse.
A lash lift is performed by first cleansing the lashes and then conforming them and temporarily adhering them to a rod. A perming/lifting solution is then applied. The overall process takes less than an hour. The amount of lift or curl you receive can vary depending on the size of the rod used to curl the lashes, the length of time the lifting solution is left on as well as the ability of ones natural lashes to curl.
Results from a lash lift can last 8 weeks, though individual results vary. The lashes may be cleansed and mascara may be applied 24 hours after your eyelash lift treatment.
Lash/Brow Tint
As we age it is common for eyelash and eyebrow hair to thin. Waxing and tweezing of the brows further thins their appearance and for those with exceptionally thin brows or those with light hair they may feel that there is little to no brow visible after attempting to shape them. Applying mascara and using a brow pencil can be a hassle for some and the embarrassment of smudging can be a worry to others. As a result many people are turning toward more permanent options such as eyebrow tattooing and microblading. The idea of having one’s brows tattooed or microbladed may sound great at first, however often times people are frustrated that too much ink was deposited and that they appear unnatural and that their brows appear stamped on. For those who prefer a more temporary option to enhance the appearance of their lashes and brows we offer lash tinting and brow tinting.
Similar to coloring one’s hair, a lash or brow tint uses a semi-permanent color treatment to enhance your natural eyelashes or brows giving them a more defined appearance and a long-lasting mascara effect without the hassle of smudging, running or clumping of the lashes. A treatment can take as little as 15 minutes, making it a perfect option for those with a busy schedule. Results typically last up to 6 weeks.
Those with blonde, grey or light brown eyelashes or eyebrows tend to see more dramatic results than those with naturally darker hair. Still, people with darker hair can benefit from a lash or eyebrow tinting procedure, as it can deepen the color of the hair giving it a fuller, more robust appearance.
